OUR STORY —
Purely began on a beach,
not in a lab.
I started Sagar Saathi to run weekly beach cleanups, and it was there — talking to marine experts, watching sewage carry household cleaning chemicals straight into the ocean — that something clicked. The products we use every day in our bathrooms don’t just disappear after we rinse them away. They travel. And most of the time, they end up somewhere they shouldn’t.
What shook me most was learning that nearly
70% of the world's wastewater is released untreated, carrying harmful chemicals straight into rivers and oceans.
So I started experimenting — testing ingredients, taking apart what made cleaners work, and spending months getting the formula right at home. The result was Purely. The first 100 units sold out, and that was proof enough: people wanted a cleaner that didn’t cost the planet something in return.
Today, Purely is about making that choice easier — for more homes, more bathrooms, and more oceans.
