Beyond the bottle

Making a product with better ingredients is one part of the work. The other part is showing up for the oceans we’re trying to protect — with more than just a product claim.

Purely supports initiatives that take ocean conservation out of the abstract and into the real world. Into communities. Into coastlines. Into classrooms.

THE PROBLEM WE'RE PART OF SOLVING —

Why coastline health is
everyone's responsibility.

India has over 7,500 km of coastline. Mumbai sits directly on the Arabian Sea. Millions of households within reach of that coastline use cleaning products daily — products that, in most cases, drain into water systems with minimal treatment.

The chemicals in conventional cleaners don’t simply disappear. Phosphates cause algal blooms that strip oxygen from the water. Surfactants disrupt the biological functions of marine organisms. Synthetic compounds accumulate in coral tissue and in the fish that feed near reefs.

This isn’t a distant problem. It’s a local one. And the source, in part, is the products Indian homes use every day.

Purely was built because that connection deserves to be taken seriously. And the initiatives we support exist for the same reason.

SAGAR SAATHI —

Sagar Saathi

Students taking coastlines seriously.

Sagar Saathi is a student-led initiative by DAIS students committed to raising awareness about coastal pollution and its long-term impact on India’s marine ecosystems.

What makes Sagar Saathi stand out isn’t just the cause — it’s the approach. They don’t stop at social media posts or classroom discussions. They go to the coast. They engage local communities. They create conversations that are impossible to ignore for people who live, work, and depend on the shoreline.

The generation growing up near India’s coastlines is also the generation that will inherit the consequences of decisions being made right now. Sagar Saathi is making sure they understand those consequences — and that they have a voice in shaping what comes next.

Purely is proud to amplify their work. Because the most powerful thing a brand can do isn’t run a campaign — it’s support people who are already doing the right thing.

THE CONNECTION TO PURELY—

How Purely and Sagar Saathi are connected.

Sagar Saathi works to raise awareness about what’s harming India’s coastlines. Purely works to reduce one of those sources of harm — the chemicals that flow from millions of Indian bathrooms into the water systems that connect to those same coastlines.

Different approaches. The same mission.

When you buy Purely, you’re not just choosing a cleaner with better ingredients. You’re participating in a larger effort to protect the coastal ecosystems that generations of marine life — and millions of people — depend on.
